APRIL 5 – PINE VALLEY MOUNTAIN TRAILS – RANDY BECKSTRAND

Pine Valley Mountain lies at the southern rim of the Great Basin, and is one of the largest laccoliths in North America. This island in the surrounding desert climbs to more than 10,000 feet. An extensive trail system offers upwards of 150 miles of routes ranging from easy to strenuous. Randy Beckstrand has worked for the Forest Service on the mountain for decades. He will discuss trail system maintenance and offer tips on enjoying this alpine treasure.
